North Dakota Secretary of State Al Jaeger

The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) appoints a member Secretary of State to be the liaison to the Administrative Codes and Registers (ACR) Section. The Current NASS liaison to ACR is North Dakota Secretary of State Al Jaeger.

Since becoming Secretary of State on Jan. 1, 1993, Secretary Jaeger has been an active participant in the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS). He has served several different terms on its Executive Committee and its Budget Committee. During the 2009 NASS summer conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota he was again elected to the Executive Committee as a Member at Large and as liaison to the Administrative Codes and Registers (ACR) Section of NASS. In addition, he was appointed to his 15th consecutive term as Chairman of the NASS Standing Committee on Awards and Publications.

Although not actively practicing, Jaeger maintains his North Dakota real estate broker’s license and his membership in the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of Realtors and the North Dakota Association of Realtors. He was an officer and a member of committees pertaining to education, professional standards, by-laws, and the multiple listing service. Along with holding two professional Realtor designations, he was named Realtor of the Year in 1980 for the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of Realtors and was a nominee for North Dakota Realtor of the Year.

In his current position, Secretary Jaeger serves on the North Dakota Emergency Commission, the Board of the North Dakota State Historical Society, and the North Dakota Board of University and School Lands.
